Authentic regimental striped ties represents schools, colleges universities, gentlemen's club and military units so only people entitled to aforesaid institutions may wear real ones.

Repp ties have stripes' reversed direction. Although some may be based upon real regimental/university ties, repp ties are not the same as the latter.

Rules of thumb:1) Proudly wears ties of the university that you attend, attending or graduated.

2) Avoid wearing university ties that you are not belonged to even in repp striped version.

3) If you like striped of real regimental ties of military units, rather Look for American repp striped counterparts.
